It's School time!!

September 6th!! School time, not for me but for my dearest son :-).

White shirts - yes, Grey trousers - yes, Back shoes -  yes, Grey socks - yes, Tie, Jumper.. yes :-)

All the dress washed and pressed. All set for the day.

Anna and myself were very excited, not sure about Emmanuel though. We both took a day off to witness Emmanuel's very very special day of his life. We were eagerly waiting for his first session at school from 130pm to 3pm.

We managed to feed him and dressed him up and reached school on time. He got the blessing from his grand parents, uncle and aunt.

We could see, of course, lots  of nervous parents, grand parents.

The headteacher and his class teacher lined all and took them to the class room. Emmanuel was very clingy but went along with them. I am really grateful to you God to allow me to witness this.

Then 1 and half hour of nervous wiating. All done, he was all good!!

Me : How was your school?
Emmanuel : Great!!

phew!! Really rewarding to hear that from him!!

Wish him all the best and Thank you God for giving him and for this special day.

Emmanuel's day out @ Kent life museum.

Finally the day arrived. He was really looking forward to it. Farmers, bunnies, sheep, cows....

From the time he came to know that he is going to farm he is all high in spirits.
During his initial nursery days at busy bees Chatham, he was not Keen to go to nursery.
But on this day he was ready to go, no years all smiles.

They started from nursery at 9.30. Reached there by 10. He touched the animals, fed them and enjoyed his time there. They have taken pack ups. By the time he got back in the coach he slept snoring. :-)

This day out was a real change for him and from them on he was OK to go to nursery.

Emmanuel and me

First of all, I would like to thank God for giving me the wonderful gift of my life, Emmanuel. He changed my world. He is almost almost 3 now.
These days we are spending lots of time together playing, watching cartoons (which is a forced one :-)), reading books, going for bike ride, going to cinemas etc.
The cartoons he likes these days are tree foo Tom, bing, Andy's dinausor adventure, dugee, octanouts etc.

The thing he hates is going to nursery. But he loves to go to library though. But he is getting used to nursery now
He is learning things pretty quick. He knows numbers 1 to 20. He started to say complete sentences. He knows colours, shapes.

His first movie at cinema's was how to train the dragon. He really liked it and from then on he is a fan of dinosaurs. His second movie was Shaun the sheep.
I am adding some of his photos.

PILE IT HIGH AND SELL IT CHEAP

The no-frills, discount, cut-price grocers are stealing the customers from under the nose of mainstream grocers, especially Tesco's. The discounters are only following the advice of Tesco's founder, Jack Cohen: PILE IT HIGH AND SELL IT CHEAP. Hard discounters differ from standard supermarket in several important ways. They typically stock fewer than 2,000 products rather than 40,000 or so in a conventional supermarket. Most are own label rather than the manufacture's heavily advertised brands. They arrive at the shops in "shelf-ready" packaging, which avoids laborious stacking. Discounters shun the special offers that supermarkets and their suppliers use to boost sales. Instead, they sell at consistently low prices.Simplicity begets efficiency. They sell one or two types of a product, which helps with easier handling at warehouses and less risk of stock running out or hitting the sell-by date. The low prices make shoppers less fussy about customer service. So discounters need less staff. The strategy is working. The recession encouraged shoppers to give the discounters a try. The range of products have grown enough that discounters can now serve as one-stop shops for some people.

The Litany of Humility

O Jesus! meek and humble heart,             Hear me.
From the desire of being esteemed,          Deliver me, Jesus
From the desire of being loved,....
From the desire of being extolled,....
From the desire of being honored,...
From the desire of being praised,...
From the desire of being preferred to others,...
From the desire of being consulted,...
From the desire of being approved,...
From the fear of being humiliated,...
From the fear of being despised,...
From the fear of suffering rebukes,...
From the fear of being calumniated,...
From the fear of being forgotten,...
From the fear of being ridiculed,...
From the fear of being wronged,...
From the fear of being suspected,...
That others may be loved more than I,     Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it
That others may be esteemed more than I,...
That in the opinion of the world
others may increase and I decrease,...
That others may be chosen and I set aside,...
That others may be praised and I unnoticed,...
That others may be preferred to me in everything,...
That others may become holier than I, provided that
I may become as holy as I should,...

Composed by : Cardinal Merry del Val, who often recited it after the celebration of Holy Mass.

Profound law of reality about life

LIFE GROWS BY BEING GIVEN AWAY AND IT WEAKENS IN ISOLATION AND COMFORT.
Indeed, those who enjoy life most are those who leave security on the shore and become excited by the mission of communicating life to others. Here we discover a profound law of reality: that life is attained and matures in the measure that it is offered up in order to give life to others.
If we wish to lead a dignified and fulfilling life, we have to reach out to others and seek their good.

Being a Christian

Being a Christian  is not the result of an ethical choice or a lofty idea, but the encounter with an event or a person, which gives life a new horizon and a decisive direction.
